FAQs

How can playing a game improve my real driving?

Although your “feel” of the car is not as complete as the real car on the track, all your inputs to the vehicle and its response are identical. In a simulator, there is no risk and you have unlimited tries to improve how you respond to tricky situations. This builds your reflexes and technique faster than driving on the track.

Each simulator includes delivery, installation, driver fitting, and any adjustments that may be wanted. These adjustments can include pedal stiffness, or even the starting position of each pedal to assist with heel-toe downshifting. After initial setup of the system, there are also 3x 45 minute remote coaching sessions included with each system to aid you in getting used to driving in a simulator as quickly as possible.
These installation steps can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on the amount of customization requested.

All systems come preloaded with some of the most popular racing simulators. If there is a specific title that you are looking for that isn’t included by default, we can get that title installed and setup for you.
The titles included by default are:
Assetto Corsa
iRacing
EA WRC
DiRT RALLY 2.0
Due to iRacing’s subscription based payment, we include a 1-year subscription with all of our systems.

Most customers prefer our lease-to-own plan as it includes full hardware & software support during the those 3 years, but our simulators are available to purchase outright with no payment plan. Simulators purchased outright include 1 year of hardware & software support.

At the end of your lease term, the system is now under your ownership and you have a few choices:
Continue Software Support: You may continue to pay for software support. The computer will still be remotely managed and accessible by us.
Trade in: You may choose to return your system and receive a new system from us. Your previously paid downpayment will act as credit and directly transfer over to the new system.
End all Support: You may also choose to take full ownership of the system and all responsibility for keeping the software maintained. At this point we would remove any NWRS software from the PC and no longer be able to access it for any type of remote support or updates.

After your support ends, you can choose to continue to receive software support for $50/month. The system will run exactly as it did before, updating every night and being fully controlled by the button box.
If you choose to end software support, all NWRS software will be removed from the system. In-game button box profiles will still be available, but launching games and navigating through their desktops apps will no longer be supported by the button box.
There is currently no option for extended hardware support.

The main differences between our models are the screen and feedback available. Additional feedback considerably improves your ability to “feel” the car.
The Premium’s screen is wider and has considerably higher pixel density.
The feedback on the Premium simulator is some under seat vibration for gear shifts and bumps in the road, pedal vibration to simulate ABS and tire spin, and 2 fans pointed at the driver. These fans speed up as the vehicle’s speed increases but can also be set to a steady speed for consistent driver cooling.

Based on our experience, motion systems are amazing in concept but fall short of our expectations. While full motion systems can provide pitch, roll, and even yaw, none get close to emulating the forces in a real car. Most importantly, they experience noticeable delay between what the simulated car experiences and when the driver receives feedback. We find that this delay is counterproductive as motion should help the driver feel exactly what the vehicle is doing. Therefore, we include other haptic devices with lower latencies to provide valuable feedback to the driver.

In addition to this problem, motion systems inhibit us from our goal of an all-in-one system for the following reasons:
Size: Adding motion to our systems would require separating the computer and monitor from the body of the simulator to avoid damaging these parts
Power: Our systems are made to be powered by one standard 15A home outlet. Just the motion system can easily pull 5A on its own. Adding motion would either require 2 outlets to safely power the system or downgrading other components of the system.

Any of our lease-to-buy simulators plans can be cancelled by the user at any time. Refunds are not available as the down payment covers the cost of delivery, installation, and driver fitting which have all been preformed.

Our Premium Model is typically configured with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and an AMD 7900XTX, while the Entry Model uses the same CPU with an Nvidia 3080. However, due to volatility within the PC Part market, these parts are not standardized, and you may receive different parts with similar performance. All systems come with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB internal SSD.
Regardless of the exact configuration you receive, we guarantee your system will run all supported simulation titles adequately with all included hardware and feedback devices.

Due to concerns over melting cables and associated fire risk with the latest generation of Nvidia GPUs, we are not equipping our simulators with any GPUs using the new 16pin, 12VHPWR power connectors.

At any time, you can choose to end your lease and return your system, without owing any further payments.

If you wish to buy out your lease early, this is a possibility but requires calculations on how much is still owed on the system. Any system that is not part of a lease will not receive any support unless you choose to continue paying for software support at $50/month.
