What We Do
Sim racing has come a long way in the past ten years. It is now more affordable and accessible than ever before. The realism and quality of racing is truly starting to rival real racing. After speaking to many track-day enthusiasts and racers, many are interested in sim racing as a practicing tool, but they don't have the free time to go through all necessary steps for building a simulator themselves. From researching every piece to buy, to building and adjusting the simulator to their preferences Building a simulator with no prior experience is no simple task. Every simulator also requires a powerful gaming computer to run it. Building the computer is no easy task either as you have to ensure compatibility with every part and then assemble them yourself and install all the necessary software to run the simulator.
There are turn-key simulators on the market which come with a prebuilt simulator and computer ready to go for sim racing. However, the computer in these systems still needs to be maintained. This means you still have to get familiar with each piece of software and keep them updated in order to maintain full functionality of the simulator. Many people who we have spoken to with turn-key simulators, do not have them properly running a year later. Users end up feeling they spend more time updating the systems than actually using them. Some updates may also cause issues that need to be troubleshooted. Without sufficient experience with using and maintaining a gaming computer, this is very difficult to fix. You may be on your own to try and figure it out without help from the company who built the simulator.
These problems prompted us to try and create the easiest to use racing simulators on the market. Our goal is to make sim racing as accessible as possible for regular drivers. In order to achieve this, we spent time with the design of the simulator and built software to keep the system as simple to operate as possible. We started by raising the simulator and putting the computer underneath it. This not only lowered the space the simulator takes up, but also makes the simulator much easier to get in and out of. In order to keep the software on the computer updated and as easy to operate as possible, we invested in software enabling controlled update of these systems, based on our testing. This way you do not need to worry about game updates, driver updates, or even setting your controls for each game. All your games will be ready to launch at a moment's notice with only a few button presses, you just jump in the driver's seat and drive.
Purchasing:
When it comes to sim racing, there are many brands all producing the same products. This makes it overwhelming to choose which parts to buy for your system. From the chassis to the steering wheel, there are countless options to choose from and this doesn't even include the computer that you need to run your racing simulator.
Building:
Assembling the simulator is not too much work, but it takes time. Dialing in your seating position is a frustrating experience as one person which is why all of our systems include local delivery and a seat fitting to make sure your simulator is comfortable for you. Setting up all the correct software is no simple matter either. From making sure all your drivers are up-to-date to setting all your controls per game you wish to play, there are many steps you need to take before you get to drive.
Upkeep:
Racing simulators used to be only for elite racing teams, many of whom built their own proprietary hardware and software. Now that sim racing has found its way into the houses of regular people, they run off a standard Windows computer. This may sound nice, but Windows is constantly updating alongside all the updates that your simulator hardware may require. Even for tech experts, keeping up with all these updates and the issues they may cause is time consuming.
When speaking to racers interesting in sim racing, the response is usually the same: they don't know where to get started or which brands to purchase their parts from. This is why many people look at turn-key systems to get started with sim racing. These simulators are ready to roll the moment you get them set up in your home and you don't need to research and purchase every component yourself. These simulators do not provide any real benefit past initial installation. They still require you to learn all the software and keep them properly updated. Most people we've spoken to with turn-key systems are not using them as soon as a year after receiving them. This is because some components stopped working and they don't have the expertise to troubleshoot and fix the problem on their own.
Our goal is to fix these problems and create the easiest to use simulator on the planet. To achieve this, our simulators are fully managed by us remotely, so everything stays up-to-date and ready to use the moment you sit down. No need to learn all the software that works in the background and no need to update anything yourself.
The fact that our simulators are fully built and remotely managed by us allows us to add both physical and software features. We have all of our simulators raised above the ground which greatly improves the comfort of getting into or out of the seat. It also allows us to tuck the computer away underneath the simulator, which allows us to create a seamless system where all cables are managed underneath your seat and away from sight. The only setup required is plugging in a single power cable and signing into your WiFi or attaching an Ethernet cable.
